CPO sale and key fobs

Just found out something interesting while looking at a certified pre owned '22 santa fe, so apparently hyundai requires two key fobs to be included with a CPO sale, is this general knowledge but I didn't know that going in, and the dealer originally told me there was just one, but after I pushed a little and mentioned the CPO program, they suddenly "found" the second one.
Kind of feels like something more people should be aware of when shopping CPO, replacement fob isn't cheap, and if it's technically required, there's no reason to settle for one.

Oh yeah no definitely, that's a good catch. I think people don't realize the second fob is part of the CPO deal until it's too late. Always worth asking twice because those things ain't cheap to replace.

Unpopular opinion: If a dealer "finds" a second key only after you call them out, they were hoping you'd let it slide.

Hyundai does require two fobs with CPO cars, don't let them cheap out. Always ask upfront and push back hard. That key's worth hundreds....

I wonder how often do buyers miss out on that second key without knowing it's supposed to be included?

Honestly this is the first time hearing something like this and it makes sense to be that way. Yes, you're buying a used car, but from the dealer, so it's not like they can't have a second fob. Also, that accidental we found it looks shady as heck.
