Thinking about getting a new santa Fe but stuck between buying and leasing. I like the idea of ownership, especially if I plan to keep it for long, but leasing has its perks too, lower payments, newer tech every few years, and no worries about resale. so...the floor is open, trying to figure out what makes the most sense for this model.

Do you plan to keep it for many years? we're talking about like, 5+ years and do you drive alot? then buying it will be better?

On the other hand, you will get lower monthly payments if you lease. Less commitment, too.

bottomline is, it depends on your needs. hope this helps you decide one way or another!

Honestly, it depends your driving habits and whether you like having a car that's truly yours or just having the latest and greatest with fewer responsibilities, if you want to go long term then just buy but if you wanna change every 2 to 3 years then sure you can lease

The main reason why I'm against lease personally is that I'd like to own what I pay for, at least when it comes to cars. The lease can be limiting, so I'd prefer to buy. This is just me and even though it's s route I'd take, it's not necesseraly the perfect one for you. There are some drawbacks, especially if you're worried about depreciation and payments.

For that 2018 Santa Fe, consider your mileage. If you drive a lot, buying is better to avoid lease penalties. If your commute is short and predictable, leasing keeps you in newer tech

Since the Santa Fe gets updates often, leasing can help you stay current without the hassle. Just figure out if you want longterm ownership or flexibility, that will make your choice easier.

That's the thing with these kinds of questions, there are always two sides to the coin. When you compare buying and leasing you'll find that there are pros and cons for both, but you will be the one deciding which one is worth it. Personally, I'm with you on the ownership side of things and I'd like to own what I pay for and to be honest, I'm overly concerned about losing value and stuff like that. If I can afford it I'll buy it.
