Why is the oil change interval SO LOW?

Damn low. When I mean low, it's really so damn low. I got my 2023 Santa Fe SE purchased brand new and I'm only at 4k miles but now I'm getting called to the dealer for an oil change. Is this normal? Can I not follow this and just follow what I know based on my other cars which say I'm due at like 10k miles intervals? Thanks.

I've been eyeing the new santa fe, so I looked over the features and what it offers. I remember reading about it having a system which does some kind of predictive analysis or some witchcraft to tell you when you'll need to change the oil. Might wanna ask the dealer to explain how it works and why it tells you to change the oil at 4k

Early oil changes around 4l miles are normal for new cars like that. Best to follow the dealer's schedule to protect your warranty and keep the engine healthy

Hold up, 2023 and only 4k on it? Damn, that's low. Anyway, the first service is short for a reason and it was the same situation with my Santa Fe as well. After that, it extends. Plus, you have the OLS system telling you when it's time to replace it. It's a fancy algorithm that analyzes when and how you drive and recommends when it's time.
